Leaving the Dive Center Palamós we will quickly see the commercial and fishing port of Palamós with all its hustle and bustle of boats entering and leaving through its mouth, We can admire the full extent of the bay of Palamós and Sant Antoni de Calonge with its long promenade , ideal for a quiet walk with views of the sea.
In front of the commercial port we will see the Llosa de Palamós lighthouse, which indicates to large-tonnage ships that below it, its depth is less and they run possible danger of running aground.
Once we have sighted the lighthouse of Llosa de Palamós, our arrival at the diving point will be short, and we can begin to equip ourselves for diving
Located in front of the coast of Palamós appears this underwater mountain, its top is located about 21 mt. and following the south wall we can reach up to 42 meters deep.
Its bottom, apart from the rock itself, is sandy and full of stones, in its cracks you can see lobsters, octopuses, moray eels and conger eels and the common fauna of the area, it is possible, in season , see sunfish and san pedros, its walls are full of large gorgonians and varied colors in addition to the flora of the area.
During the ascent to the surface in the blue we can observe schools of dentex, barracudas , breams, sometimes these banks are usually numerous and very conspicuous for the diver.
It is an easy orientation dive, but due to its depth it is only suitable for advanced levels or higher, we will be more attentive to our diving instruments since the no-decompression time is short, the gas consumption is high and the feeling of loneliness is greater. The time to the dive site is about 10 minutes
