5 minutes sailing from Dive Center Palamós heading south when we leave through the mouth of Port Marina.
We will pass in front of the commercial and fishing port of Palamós with all its hustle and bustle of boats entering and leaving through its entrance, admire the bay of Palamós and Sant Antoni de Calonge in all its breadth with its long promenade, ideal for a quiet walk with views of the sea.
In front of the commercial port we will see the lighthouse of the Llosa de Palamos, which indicates to large-tonnage ships that below it their depth is less and they are in possible danger of running aground.
The Boreas was a deep-sea tugboat of the German Navy during the second world war with 40 meters in length, its original name was Pellworm.
During the war it ended up in the hands of the American army, returned to the German and finally passed to civilian use with the Panamanian flag , being seized by the authorities for drug trafficking in 19 89 off the coast of Begur.
Once cleaned up and having eliminated possible snagging points, entrapment and other possible risks for divers, it was sunk off the coast of Palamós.
You descend through the cape located at the bow of the ship located at a depth of about 22 meters, when we reach the end of the cape we will start the dive going directly to see the propeller located at 32 meters, since this is the deepest part .
Then we will ascend to the aft deck where we will begin to visit the different confined spaces starting with the hold, where we will find an air chamber that will smile at every diver who sticks his head inside
Then we will visit the engine room with its impressive engine, which we can surround admiring its inlays that give it a beautiful color, on the way out we will find the kitchen passing through the captain’s room, where we can see the cabin bathtub .
There are other rooms that are more difficult to access and of little interest to the diver.
To finish, we visited the entire deck of the ship looking for a conger eel hidden in some of the infinite corners that offers the Boreas.

Of proven effectiveness in the theoretical and practical teaching of the different diving courses.
All instructors, and other center staff, have the corresponding qualification issued by the most recognized international diving organization PADI that accredits his ability to teach.
