This dip is located near from the mouth of the port and is ideal on days with rough seas since the navigation time to the mooring point is minimal.
Cala Margarita is a small nucleus added to Palamós, although with its own identity.
In the Middle Ages this corner was used by the authorities to house travelers in quarantine. In this way they could verify that they really did not bring any infection, and an epidemic could start in the Vila de Palamós.
Immersion in Cala Margarita is simple and pleasant.
It starts at a depth of 10 meters where the orography allows you to orient yourself so that you can create a mental image of the dive.
Full of rocks and small canyons full of small and timid life. Among them are nudibranchs, lobsters, scorpions, octopuses and cuttlefish, even buried rays.
The average depth is about 12-15 meters, even so, it is easy to find areas up to 25 meters deep where we will be surprised to see possible Roman remains.
The schools of barracuda, schools of breams, small posidonia meadows full of nacras and small fish such as castanets, salps and much more.
One of the dives is the crossing between the islet of Cala Margarida and the Morro del Vedell beach, a dive full of surprises, since, between one and the other, there is a large amount of flora and fauna.
We can also enjoy the scooter while we coast along the northern part of Cala Margarita. An area totally unknown to the diver.
It is a dive full of surprises that will not leave anyone indifferent since, although there is not much depth, there are a large number of small organisms that will leave us speechless.
It is a shallow dive ideal for beginners and trainees
